Summer is super crazy in a photographer's world, but it's also my favourite time of year because I get to work with awesome couples like these two! 

Ellen and Matt couldn't stop giggling throughout their entire session down in Rainbow Valley Park. I wish them a happy wedding day this October!

Hello there! 

I know it's been a while since I've blogged but it's been a crazy start to 2017 for me! In December I met Amy of Redtree Photography and she was looking for another lady to join her team. We hit it off right off the bat and I'm happy to announce we've joined forces! 

Amy set up a 'Training Day' for all her ladies. She brought in hair and makeup artists and some beautiful models for us to photograph. I had an awesome day shooting with the Redtree Photography ladies and I can't wait for wedding season to start!

Sports Day In Canada | Edmonton Event Photography

Hello Everyone! 

Every year, on November 21st, our wonderful country has a day dedicated to sports! This year I was asked to document what the Synchronized Swimming world had planned for the day. The day started bright and early with an annual figures meet. The figures event in a competition is where the athletes have to show specific skills and then they get judged on how well they perform these skills and their individual scores impact their group routine scores at the end of the competition. Since it's so early in the season, the skills aren't performed perfectly, but it gives them a chance to practice in front of a judge. 

When the girls were finished their figures, they went upstairs to do a flexibility session with Élise Marcott, a retired Olympian who swam in Beijing(2008) and London(2012).

Bonjour! 

Chaque année, le 21 Novembre, notre merveilleux pays à une journée dédiée aux sports! Cette année, on m'a demandé de documenter ce que le monde natation synchronisée avait prévu pour la journée. La journée a commencé très tôt avec une épreuve annuelle des figures. L'épreuve des figures dans une compétition est où les athlètes doivent montrer des compétences spécifiques et puis ils sont jugés sur la façon dont ils exercent ces compétences et leurs scores individuels impacts de leurs groupes scores de routine à la fin de la compétition. Comme il est si tôt dans la saison, les compétences ne sont pas exécutées parfaitement, mais il leur donne une chance de pratiquer devant un juge.

Quand les filles ont terminé leurs figures, ils sont allés à l'étage pour faire une séance de flexibilité avec Élise Marcott, un olympien à la retraite qui a nagé à Beijing (2008) et de Londres (2012).

Edmonton Family Photography | The Egurens

Happy Saturday Everyone!! 

Today's post is a special one.

I have known the Egurens since I was little. We spent a lot of time together growing up. This family has always been there for me when I needed anything at all, and in turn we have been there for them. So, when they contacted me asking for a family session (3 days from the contact date, because their dog was really sick), I skipped a few steps and fit them in. As it turned out, the day of the session was Scooters last good day and they had to put him down later into that week. It broke my heart to hear of the news, but I'm so happy they got the chance to get photos done with him. 

Go take a look at the photos! It was a fun session, with lots of laughs (they even picked up mom and may have accidentally dropped her. :P)!

Bon samedi! 

Le post d'aujourd'hui est spécial. 

Je connais les Egurens depuis que je suis petite. Nous avons passé beaucoup de temps ensemble grandissant. Cette famille a toujours été là pour moi quand j'avais besoin de quelque chose et à notre tour, nous avons été là pour eux. Donc, quand ils m'ont contactés demander une session de la famille (3 jours en avance de la date de contact, parce que leur chien était vraiment malade), j'ai sauté quelques étapes et les ont accommoder. En fait, le jour de la session était la dernier bon journée pour Scooter, et ils ont dû la mettre basse plus tard dans la semaine. Il a brisé mon coeur d'entendre les nouvelles, mais je suis tellement heureux ils ont eu la chance d'obtenir des photos avec lui. 

Allez jeter un oeil sur les photos! Il a eu une séance de plaisir, avec beaucoup de rires (ils on même ramassé maman et ont peut-être accidentellement son chuté :P)!
